Who are we?

Fire For Effect Training is a Veteran owned and operated business.

I was proud to serve my country in the United States Army. In the Gulf War, I worked as an artillery Forward Observer. Then I returned to the United States and served with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

The military emphasizes the need for training. As a result, I began my civilian gun safety instruction after I got out, which was considerably different from the military. For the previous 20 years, first in California and now in Nevada, I’ve been training and instructing others to ensure that they are prepared for anything.

“Fire for effect” is an artillery phrase the military uses when we have pinpointed the target and are ready to fire all guns to destroy it.

At Fire For Effect Training, we teach you how to defend yourself and your family. That is the reason that Fire For Effect Training was born to help you do that. We are grateful for those who continue to serve their country today and to those who have and those who will serve. Thank you for your service!

What we do

It’s all about providing everyone with a low-cost means of obtaining firearms training! You may think that firearms training is expensive and time-consuming. That is where we come in. We work one-on-one with you to assist you comprehend the finer points and principles of gun handling.

What can we do for you?

Anyone, regardless of age or experience, will learn to use a gun properly. In just a few days, we’ll get you from a novice to an intermediate shooter. We also educate you on how to utilize your firearm for personal and home defense as well as proper firearms maintenance.

How do we do this?

At Fire For Effect Training we start with the basics, such as how a firearm works and safety lessons that apply to all guns. We may offer one-on-one or group instruction. We’re here to help you learn how to operate your gun properly so you can defend yourself effectively.

4-Universal Gun Safety Rules

1. Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle point at anything that you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

We are located near the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (https://www.britannica.com/place/Sierra-Nevada-mountains) which is where many landscape pictures come from on the site. Here, the landscape and the people always inspire us to do better. Our main mission is to help our customers grow their business.
